The OGR Assistant Director is a member of the Office of Government Relations. They are responsible for lobbying for aspects of the Legislative Agenda pertaining to local, city and county government, as well as assisting the OGR Director with lobbying the state Agenda in Olympia.

The OGR Assistant Director began chairing the Legislative Steering Committee in the 2007-2008 term. Prior to the change, the LSC was chaired by the Legislative Coordinator.
